Seafood Landings by Tonnage into the
North East of Scotland
Key Findings
- Seafood landings to the three areas that make up the northeast remain high, making up a large and expanding proportion of Scotland’s catch. However, marked variations occur year on year due to a variety of factors.
- Tonnages into Aberdeen are now stable having dropped from 16,296 tonnes in 2006 to 1,298 tonnes in 2017. Fraserburgh suffered a moderate decline from the 2006 to 2022 but is now increasing. Peterhead continues to expand strongly.
