Scotland, 2022
Key Findings
Between 2001 and 2022, the number of people who owned their own homes increased by 4%. Numbers in social rented properties also increased, whilst numbers in private rented properties decreased (Fig.1).
Compared to the Scottish average, a higher proportion of East Grampian residents own their own properties. There are a higher proportion in privately rented properties (furnished) but a lower proportion in social rented properties (Fig.2).
These figures have been taken from census records relating to selected coastal wards.
